HEAD OF ARTIST DEVELOPMENT, AllSight Studios
MARZELLA "MISS PLUKE" MARZELLE is a recording artist, choreographer, style director, actress and creative executive with more than three decades of experience across music, entertainment and fashion. Hailed by ROLLING STONE as an era-defining cultural icon, her work across several defining periods of hip-hop and R&B—spanning performance, artist development, choreography and visual direction—has helped shape the sound, style and visual language of contemporary music and pop culture.
Born and raised in Hollywood, MARZELLE entered the entertainment industry as a child. She was a credited percussionist on a gospel recording by age 13 and later trained as an actress at the conservatory level. By her late teens, she was touring internationally as the star dancer with BELL BIV DEVOE and performing with her Paradigm-signed dance quartet, STR8-AHEAD.
Her work with BELL BIV DEVOE extended beyond performance. MARZELE co-choreographed and style-directed the group’s landmark “Poison” video, contributing to the visual language associated with New Jack Swing.
She later served as a style director for Montell Jordan and contributed creative ideas to the early visual identities of artists including TRUTH HURTS, MISSY ELLIOTT and OUTKAST Her work in fashion and styling also included early interpretations of the draped silhouettes that would become closely associated with neo-soul.
Nicknamed “Duracell” backstage by WHITNEY HOUSTON, MARZELLE developed a reputation for extraordinary stamina, precision and versatility as a live performer. Her career took her across world tours, national television and film, while her work expanded beyond the stage into choreography, style direction and artist development.
Today, Marzelle works with AllSight Studios across music, artist development, fashion and original entertainment. Through ALLSIGHT’s partnership with MARZELLE'S STINGH MANAGEMENT GROUP, MARZELLE works with emerging talent on creative development, career positioning and ownership. She is also collaborating with the studio on a scripted television series inspired by her life and firsthand experience during some of the most consequential periods in modern hip-hop.
MARZELLE also serves as Creative Director for LARISSA LOWTHORP's fashion house, LUNESCAPE. Her work includes PLUKETACULAR, a collection developed from original concert and music-video designs and prototypes preserved in her personal archive. The collection draws on her decades of experience at the intersection of fashion, music and performance.
In television, MARZELLE is the creator and executive producer of THE RISE, an upcoming ALLSIGHT STUDIOS dramatic series inspired by her life and career. Set across present-day Los Angeles and the hip-hop industry of the 1990s and early 2000s, the fictionalized series draws on her firsthand experience during a transformative period in music and popular culture.
In addition to her executive and creative work, MARZELLE continues her career as a recording artist, drawing on a musical background that encompasses gospel, hip-hop, R&B, percussion and live performance.
At AllSight Studios, MARZELLE applies more than three decades of industry experience to artist development and original programming, bringing particular expertise in performance, music, visual direction and the cultural history of hip-hop and R&B.
