MOTHERSHIP is a dystopian science-fiction thriller saga spanning nine novels and a feature-film trilogy, where intersecting character arcs and histories unfold across distant worlds, rival civilizations, generations and two dimensions divided since the dawn of creation.

Many light-years from radioactive earth, near one of humanity's most dangerous experimental colonies, lies the war-ravaged hellscape planet Sly'ika. There, an estranged mother and her half-human daughter find themselves bound to an ancient birthright neither fully understands.

Their deeply personal story unfolds within a vast interstellar civilization shaped by superstition, political ambition and competing interpretations of a faith as old as civilization itself. Beyond sly'ika, the khepri nebula, a cluster of small but mighty nation-planets, is caught in a raging intergalactic arms race as cosmic superpowers vie to possess the ultimate weapon: everblaze, a sentient holy relic whose mercury-like essence has legendary supernatural powers.

As an escalating intergalactic arms race shatters a fragile treaty and threatens to plunge rival powers back into all-out war, the balance of power destabilizes. Feuding dynasties vie for supremacy, beliefs fracture, and a prophecy debated for thousands of years casts an increasingly powerful shadow over the present.

Some conspire to prevent the ancient doomsday prophecy, with Everblaze at its center, from coming true, whilst others scheme to hasten the inevitable reckoning.

Beyond the physical universe lies the shadow realm, a demonic, primordial dimension sealed away from the world of the living. Its existence has haunted civilizations for millennia, while what lies within — and what might happen should the boundary between the two dimensions fail — remains the subject of speculation, fear and violently contested interpretations of prophecy.

Against this politically charged, volatile backdrop of shifting allegiances and motives that prove increasingly difficult to discern, despotic powers, mercenaries, religious zealots and other warring factions pursue competing agendas. Meanwhile, the family fights for survival as mounting betrayals and long-buried secrets force them to question what they believe about themselves, each other and the universe around them, ultimately driving a devastating rift through a family who once trusted no one but each other.

Blending intimate character drama with political intrigue, mythology and cosmic-scale science fiction, mothership explores family, faith, power and destiny against the backdrop of a universe still living with the consequences of a betrayal committed before the first stars were born.
